So, where are we riding this year?
Day 1: Edinburgh and the Central Belt
We'll kick off the scramble from our workshop at Saltire Motorcycles on the southwest side of Edinburgh. A short shakedown will take us north over the Forth Bridges and into Perthshire where we will tuck into our accommodation and welcome everyone to Scotland.
Day 2: Loch Lomond, Oban and Glencoe
This out and back style ride will take you to the wild west coast of Scotland through some of its most famous landmarks. First, we will travel north west through the windswept moorland of Rannoch Moor, enter Glencoe, vist the Three Sisters and take in the monumental power of this ancient glen. We'll stop for lunch on the docks at Oban and enjoy some fresh seafood, before heading south along this popular costal route.
Day 3: The Four Lochs Loop
Today, we will head north and explore four of our favoruite Scottish lochs. Our first stop will be Loch Earn, where we will then ride north to Loch Tay for its sweeping views and cross into Glen Lyon and its endless tree tunnels. Further north, we will cross into true wilderness, exploring one of Scotland's most remote train stations at Bridge of Gaur at the far end of Loch Rannoch before heading east beside Loch Tummel. We will conclude our ride by heading back south through Aberfeldy for a coffee.
Day 4: Cairngorms National Park
On Day 4, we will take you across some of the highest peaks in Scotland and over Cairngorms National Park. We'll ride the famous Snow Roads to Braemar, before crossing into Deeside near Balmoral Castle, where the Royal Family stays each August. We'll then head out of the Cairngorms, following the Old Military Road to Fettercairn, taking the backroads through Angus all the way back to Perthshire.
Day 5: Return to Edinburgh
On the morning of our last day, we'll pack up camp and head back south to Edinburgh. Upon arrival at Saltire Motorcycles, we will conclude our services and say our goodbyes until next time.

About the moto camp
Curated routes designed by local riders show you the best of the highlands
Our Highland Scramble guided motorcycle tours all start and finish in Edinburgh, Scotland at our workshop based inside Saltire Motorcycles. The Moto Camp covers up to 1,000 miles over five days on mostly tarmac.
We kick off our rides at about 9:30am each morning and plan to return to our evening accommodation around 6:00pm each day with plenty of stops for coffee, lunch and off-the-bike experiences. Scotland is small but mighty and features a wide variety of terrain.
On our Moto Camp experience, we will lead ‘out-and-back’ style rides from our basecamp in Auchterarder each day. We’ll follow the weather, showing you the best parts of the country from the Cairngroms National Park in the east to Loch Lomon and the Trossachs in the west. We usually ride roughly 200 miles per day or up to about six hours depending on the conditions. We take plenty of stops for cakes, coffee and encourage you to stop for photos along the way so that we can help promote our small business.
We have also partnered with our hosts to offer a tour of their property on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. While this is not a hardcore enduro experience, we do recommend at least an intermediate level of off-roading experience.
Bikerbnb Adventure tours take into account differing riding abilities – so if you have any concerns about the length of the trip, terrain or riding in a group – just drop a member of our team a message at info@bikerbnb.com and we’ll get you sorted.
Four nights in unique accommodation to help you relax off the bike each evening
Bikerbnb prides itself on offering world-class accommodation that is not only incredibly relaxing, but provides the piece of mind that your motorcycle will remain where you parked it. All of our accommodation options across our tours feature secure parking, drying facilities in the event of rain and convenient locations next to some of the best roads in the world.
During Moto Camp, we will start our ride at Bikerbnb HQ at Saltire Motorcycles, Edinburgh’s premier independent motorcycle dealership. From Edinburgh, we will then travel north to Perthshire where we will stay for four nights at Muiredge Glamping and Camping. There is a mix of railroad cars, bell tents and cabins available depending on your preference and budget.
We offer two types of accommodation packages: shared or single. At checkout, please specify if you prefer the shared or single supplement and if you are traveling with another rider or partner so we can plan accordingly.
On Moto Camp, all accommodation options are glamping style. Expect warm and comfortable railroad cars, cabins, warm canvas tents with beds, duvets, a wood burning stove and an open air feel to your experience. Sorry, there are no televisions on this trip.
Breakfast and dinner featuring fresh and local ingredients

A comprehensive album free of charge will be provided within two weeks of returning from our ride.

Moto Camp is a fully supported ride. We will be followed by a support vehicle where you can safely store your luggage, gear and your motorcycle in the rare event a mechanical or accident.
A certified technician and trained first aid responders are present on all Bikerbnb Adventures experiences. If there is an incident involving you or your motorcycle, we will do as much as we can to ensure that you can continue to enjoy your holiday.

Highland Scramble FAQ’s
No. We welcome all types of motorcycles as the riding is nearly all tarmac.
Yes, the support vehicle is there for extra luggage, tools, breakdowns and some emergency fuel just in case.
Breakfast and supper are included in the ticket price.
We strive to balance the best interests of our riders and the financial wellbeing of our small business. The above Cancellation Policy establishes clear timeframes to help ensure we are equipped to run a high-quality event and meet obligations to our partners, vendors and accommodation providers, while balancing any unexpected circumstances that may arise. We appreciate that sometimes circumstances outside of our control can necessitate last minute changes. If you do need to cancel your spot on the Highland Scramble or motorcycle rental, we would like to first offer you a credit of your booking fee (less the deposit and any ticket increases) toward a future reservation with us. If this is not possible, the following table outlines our official Cancellation Policy for the 2024 riding season. If you have any questions or concerns about cancelling or postponing your reservation, please make an enquiry with a member of staff by emailing us at info@bikerbnb.com.
Our 2024 Moto Camp features Bikerbnb’s unique motorcycle-friendly accommodation. During the ride, we will stay at a hand-picked glamping site that is perfectly suited for motorcycle travelers.
We try to price our trips fairly to accommodate different budgets. The Highland Scramble takes a lot of consideration, planning, coordination and time! The knowledge and experience of the organisers is second to none and every detail is carefully collaborated. From unique locations, specialised kit, great food, support vehicle, insurance, content producers, chefs, and experienced staff, we offer an incredibly competitive product compared to other tour operators.
The route is designed to explore the best public roads (tarmac) that Scotland has to offer. Riders should be prepared to ride in all conditions. Remember, there’s no bad weather, just bad gear!
Road surfaces in Scotland can be wet, twisty and obstructed by mud or leaves – a decent level of riding experience and endurance is required to join Moto Camp. We recommend at least two years of experience across a variety of bikes and terrain to get the most enjoyment out of The Highland Scramble Moto Camp.
We aim to ride around 200 miles per day depending on the type of roads we take. On the smaller twisty roads, we will allocate more time to enjoy the scenery! We anticipate each leg of the journey should approximate 5-6 hours of riding, with breaks in between for lunch and coffee. Evening meals are aimed to be served around 8:00pm.
Please do and shout from the roof tops! Each ride will be allocated a unique hashtag for sharing and following.
Unfortunately no, we can only offer accommodation, food and support to those who have paid in full for the tickets in advance.
Moto Camp is not designed for the faint hearted. If weather conditions are abysmal then we will hold tight for a prolonged pitstop, however, we are not ‘the sunshine only’ club. Weather conditions that pose safety issues to our riders will be taken into account but the bottom line is, come fully prepared and hope for the best!
Everyone participating will be at different levels of riding ability. If you wish to go ahead or take your time, the route will be shared with you on a group chat. We will also send you the route in advance for you to study. The support vehicle is only a phone call away so don’t panic.
Our support vehicle will be there to help along the way. Equipped with tools and knowledge, we can try to assist with a roadside repair or pop the bike in the back of the van. You will then be taken to the final destination of the day or a local garage for further repairs.
You are responsible for paying for your own fuel and any additional refreshments along the way. You will also need to pay for lunch and alcohol that is not offered during meals. The rest is sorted by Bikerbnb Adventures.
You’ll still need to purchase individual tickets to cover both accommodation and food costs. The tickets are sold per person, not per bike.
We have limited spaces on each scramble so we can only sell tickets for set dates. If you need to change a date, we will need to know in advance to see if we can accommodate you on a preferred date, but we cannot guarantee a spot.
