So, where are we riding?

Arrive in Barcelona and transfer to Allela
Upon arrival in Barcelona, we will meet you at the rental shop and collect your luggae. We will then embark on our journey from the lively heart of Barcelona, navigating through bustling streets adorned with historic architecture and vibrant neighborhoods. As we bid farewell to the urban landscape, the scenery gradually transforms to present a landscape filled with verdant hills. On the first night, we will welcome riders to our first hotel, kick things off with a welcome dinner and relax poolside.

Day 1: Alella - Montseny - cap de creus
We'll first journey north toward the national park of Montseny. During the autumn seasons, the landscape transforms into a breath-taking tapestry of greens or brown-hued leaves, making it one of the country's most picturesque destinations. As the afternoon unfolds, we'll transition toward the coast, arriving at the beautiful Costa Brava with options to take the incredible coastal road to Sant Feliu de Guixols or more inland off-road tracks to Cap de Creus. Here, we can visit the lighthouse or view the residence where Salvador Dalí lived in Port Lligat.

Day 2: Cap de Creus – Besalú – Puigcerdà
As we journey westward, the Pyrenees gradually begin to ascend. Our initial destination is the town of Beget, nestled within the heart of a breathtaking valley. Our route will then lead us through two optional off-road sections, a splendid interlude amidst the Pyrenees' majestic terrain, adorned with breath-taking vistas. As our trajectory advances further north, expect to encounter more demanding tracks for those riding off-road accompanied by increasingly remote and breathtaking landscapes as we make our to the Cerdanya valley and our destination of Puigcerdà.

Day 3: Puigcerdà - Tor - Arties
Setting off from Puigcerdà, we'll cruise on asphalt roads for approximately an hour before reaching the starting point of the optional off-road segments that ascend to the Andorran border. Our descent will lead us into Andorra la Vella through the famous Smuggler's Trail. Crossing through Andorra, we'll make our way to the Pal-Arinsal ski resort and stunning vistas. We'll stop for a rustic lunch in the countryside and once back on the asphalt road toward the resort of Espot, we will climb again for another optional off-road section that leads us to Arties.

Day 4: Arties - el pont de seurt- Oliana
In the morning, we'll set out starting with an exciting optional off-road section surrounded by stunning mountains. Our adventure will also include a visit to the captivating Saut des Pish waterfall. Afterward, the main group will continue on an asphalt road, heading south as we descend towards the pre-Pyrenees mountains. Here, we'll have the option to ride on fantastic trails offering beautiful views. In the afternoon, we will ascend and descend the mountains several times before settling into Oliana for the night. This region is home to many Dakar Rally champions and some fantastic forest rides and a more challening descent through the villiage of Cabo to end the day,

Day 5: oliana - Montserrat - barcelona
On our last day, we will ride south through the Bages region and enjoy its winding and fast tracks, passing through a truly spectacular off-road section amidst the forest. In the vicinity of Montserrat Mountain, we will continue to enjoy wide and speedy tracks, the kind that motorbike enthusiasts relish. We will continue heading south towards the Garraf Natural Park, where we will ride tracks from Sitges to the Buddhist Monastery of Olivella before arriving in central Barcelona. Upon arrival in Barcelona, we will return our bikes and end the trip with a celebratory dinner in Plaça d'Espanya. On Saturday, we will conclude our services shortly after breakfast and say our goodbyes until next time.

About the Catalunya Trails & Tarmac Traverse
Curated routes designed by local riders show you the best of Catalunya by motorcycle
Our Iberian Scramble guided motorcycle tours all start and finish in Barcelona, Spain. The Catalunya Trails & Tarmac Traverse covers up to 1,000 km over five days on on mostly asphalt/tarmac. This is a new ride where we have developed new routes for both off-road and on-road motorcyclists. We plan to split into small groups each morning based on the type of riding and pace. We will offer plenty of optional off-road sections throughout the journey so riders can test their skills on dirt and gravel trails for up to 80% of the tour. Alternatively, for the riders who wish to stick to sticky black stuff, we have currated alternative routes that stick entirely to more traditional routes, but highly the excellent twisties and elevation change that makes Catalunya famous for bikers.
We kick off our rides at about 9:30am each morning and plan to return to our evening accommodation around 6:00pm each day with plenty of stops for coffee, lunch and off-the-bike experiences. You will experience a mix of landscapes and roads across the trip from twisty coastlines like the Cap de Creus road to the steep and windy sections of Montseny National Park. The roads conditions are typically very good and you should expect a mix of dual lane and single track roads. We will do our best to keep the ride off the motorways. This ride does require an intermediate level of riding – the days are full and require the skill level to take on a mix of riding conditions.
Bikerbnb Adventure tours take into account differing riding abilities – so if you have any concerns about the length of the trip, terrain or riding in a group – just drop a member of our team a message at info@bikerbnb.com and we’ll get you sorted.

The route is designed to explore the best that Catalunya has to offer. It has been designed for intermediate riders who are comfortable riding twisty roads and have some off-road prowess.
While some sections will be more challenging than others, the ultimate goal is to go at your own pace and enjoy the beautiful scenes along the way. You may feel you want to push out of the comfort zone but we encourage you to ride to a level you feel safe and comfortable with.
We aim to ride up to 200-240 kilometers per day. On the smaller twisty roads, we will allocate more time to enjoy the scenery! We anticipate each leg of the journey should take approximately 5-6 hours of riding, with breaks in between for lunch and coffee. Evening meals are aimed to be served around 8:00pm.

We will also send you the route in advance for you to study. The support vehicle is only a phone call away so don’t panic. We also use the WhatsApp live sharing feature so that everyone can see where they are on the route.
