Inglewood House B&B is situated down a designated 'Quiet Lane' in rural South Norfolk a mile from the village of Bressingham in a hamlet of four houses just a mile from the A1066 Thetford-Diss Road and five minutes from Bloom's Steam Museum and Gardens.
We have off-road 'out of sight' parking and can also offer Bike washing facilities and use of a tool kit and pressure gauge/tyre pump.
We are 25 miles from the city of Norwich with the Norfolk Broads, North Norfolk Coast, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Ipswich, Colchester, Sudbury, Lavenham and Constable Country all around an hour's ride away. There is a village shop in Bressingham offering a mix of groceries, newspapers and magazines. The market town of Diss, with its mix of small independent stores, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets is 10 minutes away by Bike. The Inter-City railway station offers travel from London in about 90 minutes.
The Cream Bedroom is a double room with two easy chairs, Freeview TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee making. En-suite has WC, shower and basin, toiletries & towels. We offer a guest's lounge with comfortable sofa and arm chair, Freeview TV, books and games. Free Wi-Fi is available. This may be slow at times due to our rural location. Breakfast is served at the large dining room table and every room has wonderful rural views. Guests are welcome to stroll in the half acre garden and say hello to our chickens. We have recently been adopted by two feral kittens who are becoming more confident, but you probably won’t see them!
We also offer the Purple Bedroom (with a private bathroom). Please see our other listing.
We are surrounded by an extensive network of local footpaths and we are also happy to meet walkers from Peddars Way & Boudicca Way long distance footpaths or the train at either Diss or Thetford stations. We offer brochures and personal knowledge of local tourist attractions and lovely pubs serving excellent food.
We are sorry that we do not cater for pets or children and smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises or in the garden. We are in a very quiet, rural location and we would expect our guests to preserve the tranquility of the location.
There is extremely limited public transport from the village.
