Yes, you read that right - for 2018 we are going 100% biker!
As bikers ourselves, we know what matters. From a hot cuppa the moment you arrive, a free lift to the pub or restaurant on an evening, to first hand route advice and even emergency bike rescue should you get it all wrong.
We have an on-site biker friendly tea room serving good home baking in the company of a couple of vintage bikes, a dedicated drying room (not that it ever rains up here...), washer and drier, and ample safe off road parking.
Torguish House, in the Nairn Valley just 5 miles south of Inverness, is the perfect base from which to explore the Scottish Highlands, with every road and attraction of any note being within easy reach. No need to pack up every day and move on to another B&B - leave it all here and enjoy fresh blat out in a different direction every day of the week!
The house was built prior to the Jacobite uprisings of 1715 and later became the childhood home of late author Alistair MacLean. The former manse has now been tastefully renovated and retains many of its original features.
We have 5 en-suite letting rooms suitable for couples, families and groups, sleeping up to 16 guests in total, plus four self-catering cottages for longer stays.
Incidentally, we are also 'Ride' magazines official start and finish point for the NC500 (having hosted the boys when they came up to write the feature, as seen in the September 2016 issue) and have been mentioned in numerous other bike magazines both in the Uk and abroad.
