Close to Wistman’s Wood this former 200 year-old farmhouse is owned by veteran biker, Chris Willis. The Cherrybrook offers all-ensuite, spacious, central-heated rooms with the most beautiful moorland views in the heart of Dartmoor.
There is plenty of parking space including a secure, large garage for motorbikes; a wash-down facility; basic tools; drying room for wet gear.
Wi-Fi is free as is the tea/coffee/hot chocolate – making facility in each room.
In addition to the hearty breakfasts (included): home-cooked evening meals and packed lunches are available on request.
Situated in the old cow shed, our cosy bar: ‘One Bar’s Rest’ is a very characterful space offering live, vintage jazz music (also on request!) and an eclectic mix of library books and live conversation (...remember that?).
Within our three-acre estate there are: bee-hives which supply our moorland honey (available for sale); our chicken run (eggs for sale as available) and our archery shooting ground.
This is in every way the most ideal base for exploring Dartmoor with the West Dart; East Dart; Cherry Brook and Wallabrook rivers all within easy reach.
Horse riding / trekking are easily arranged as are guided walks for individuals and groups.
